Dr. Nael Mustafa Shoman

Dr. Nael Mustafa Shoman is a Consultant ENT specialist at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi, with 18 years of clinical and surgical experience in otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and previously worked as a Staff Otolaryngologist and Associate Professor at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, where he was an active surgeon in the Halifax Cochlear Implant Program and the Maritime Lateral Skull Base Clinic.

Dr. Shoman's expertise spans neurotology (nerve and inner-ear conditions), otology (ear surgery), skull base surgery, cochlear implantation for hearing loss, and pediatric ear conditions. He brings a multidisciplinary approach to complex ear and skull base cases, combining surgical skill with collaborative care. He is fluent in English and Arabic, enabling him to serve a diverse patient population with culturally sensitive communication.

Dr. Shoman is an active member of leading international organizations, including the American Neurotology Society, North American Skull Base Society, Politzer Society for Otologic Surgery, and the European Academy of Otology and Neurotology. He has contributed to national and international clinical initiatives, including the Canadian Infant Hearing Task Force.
