Dr. Viveka Subramaniam Mohan

Dr. Viveka Subramaniam Mohan is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 15 years of clinical experience. She has worked as a junior consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology in India for 5 years, followed by 10 years as a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where she currently practises at NMC Healthcare.

Dr. Mohan specializes in fetal medicine, with particular expertise in early pregnancy screening and detailed fetal ultrasound assessments. She diagnoses chromosomal abnormalities in the first trimester, performs comprehensive second-trimester fetal anomaly scans, and conducts specialized heart and brain ultrasound imaging of the fetus. She also manages high-risk pregnancies, including those with poor fetal growth and multiple pregnancies (twins and higher-order multiples), with special attention to monochorionic twins which carry unique risks.

She offers genetic counselling to help families understand test results and pregnancy options, and provides diagnosis and management of fetal abnormalities when identified. Dr. Mohan combines detailed imaging expertise with supportive counselling to guide families through complex prenatal decisions.
