Dr. Amir Ali

Dr. Amir Ali is a urologist with 22 years of clinical experience, based in Abu Dhabi. He trained in India at leading institutions including Goa Medical College and Bangalore's top urology programmes, and holds fellowship credentials from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS in Urology). He further specialized in robotic surgery through a post-CCT fellowship at the University Hospital of Cardiff, Wales, where he performed over 250 robotic procedures. He is on the permanent register of the UK's General Medical Council.

Before joining NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Amir worked as an Assistant Professor at India's Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre and as a consultant at several leading Indian hospitals. At NMC Specialty Hospital Abu Dhabi (2018–2021), he pioneered advanced urological procedures including supine percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery, and performed the first retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephrectomy in the UAE.
