Dr. Qasim Qasem is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 15 years of experience, including registration on the specialist registers of both the Irish and British Medical Councils. He has practised in the UAE since 2012 and previously spent more than 12 years at prestigious hospitals in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow, and holds a position on the European Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Qasem specialises in paediatric eye care, with particular expertise in children's eye muscle surgery (squint correction), childhood eye alignment issues, cataract surgery in children, and vision screening for premature babies. He is also highly skilled in treating diabetic eye disease and performs advanced combined keyhole vitrectomy and cataract removal procedures, particularly for patients with diabetes.
