Dr. Hanan Derby

Dr. Hanan Derby is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Dubai Health with over three decades of clinical experience across the Middle East, Europe, and the UK. She completed her medical degree (MBBS) at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia in 1989, followed by specialist psychiatric training leading to Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2017. Her career spans diverse healthcare systems: she worked with Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in the UK (2009–2013), then moved to Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar (2013–2017), before joining Dubai Health in 2017 where she continues to practise.

Dr. Derby holds strong credentials in psychiatry, including Fellowship (FRCPsych) and Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, both UK-based qualifications that demonstrate her commitment to evidence-based practice and professional standards. Her experience across three countries has given her exposure to varied patient populations and healthcare frameworks, which informs her approach to diagnosis and treatment planning.
