Dr. Alja Vlahovic Stipac

Dr. Alja Vlahovic Stipac is a specialist cardiologist at Mediclinic Dubai Mall, with admission rights to Mediclinic Welcare Hospital. She trained at leading cardiac centres in her native Serbia, completing her medical degree at University Medical School in Belgrade, followed by residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology at University Clinical Hospital Zemun and the Dedinje Cardiovascular Institute.

Dr. Vlahovic Stipac has spent most of her career in the echocardiography laboratory, developing particular expertise in echocardiography and stress echocardiography — imaging techniques used to assess heart structure and function. She has also gained significant experience in interventional cardiology, especially in acute settings, and previously headed the Heart Failure Department at University Clinical Hospital Zemun before relocating to Dubai in 2013. She has been involved in clinical research and has authored numerous publications in cardiology journals and textbooks.

She is an assistant professor at Belgrade University Medical School since 2011 and is a good fit if you need specialist assessment of heart structure and function, management of heart failure, or evaluation before major surgery.
