Dr. Philip Strike

Dr. Philip Strike is a consultant interventional and general cardiologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience, trained and practiced in the UK before relocating to Dubai. He qualified from St George's Hospital in London in 1991 and completed specialist cardiology training at leading London teaching hospitals including Southampton University Hospital, The London Chest Hospital, The Heart Hospital, and St Bartholomew's Hospital. During 14 years as a consultant interventional cardiologist in Portsmouth, he performed high volumes of angioplasty procedures and developed particular expertise in complex coronary interventions.

Dr. Strike specializes in all aspects of interventional and general cardiology, including coronary angiography, angioplasty, and stenting for blocked arteries and valve disease. He manages acute presentations such as heart attacks and angina, as well as rhythm problems, high blood pressure, and symptoms like shortness of breath, dizziness, and blackouts. He is recognized as an expert in aviation cardiology and previously advised the UK Civil Aviation Authority, assessing the cardiac fitness of pilots, aircrew, and air traffic controllers.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and serves as a Royal College Examiner. An active researcher and author, Dr. Strike publishes regularly in international cardiology journals. He now practises at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital and Mediclinic Dubai Hills.
