Dr. Rahul Nathwani (ID*)

Dr. Rahul Nathwani is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Mediclinic Dubai with extensive training in the United States. He received his medical degree from the University of Bombay in 1998, then completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology/Hepatology fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He further specialized in advanced therapeutic endoscopy through a fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where he developed expertise in complex procedures.

Dr. Nathwani performs a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic mucosal resection, video capsule endoscopy, and double balloon enteroscopy. His clinical interests focus on pancreatic and biliary disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, and viral hepatitis treatment. He has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers and textbook chapters, and received the Tamayoz Award from Harvard Medical School Dubai for outstanding research by a young physician in the Middle East.

Dr. Nathwani is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and holds active membership in the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease.
