Dr. Asma Deeb

Dr. Asma Deeb is a Consultant Pediatrician and Chair of the Pediatric Endocrinology Division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, bringing 25 years of clinical experience in pediatric endocrinology. She trained extensively in the United Kingdom following her medical degree from the University of Tripoli in Libya, and holds board certification in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.

Dr. Deeb treats the full range of childhood hormonal and metabolic conditions, with particular expertise in pediatric diabetes, weight management in children, and disorders of sex development. She is a strong advocate for using advanced technologies—such as continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps—to improve diabetes care in young patients. Her clinical work is informed by over 120 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals.

Beyond her hospital role, Dr. Deeb holds academic positions as Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at both Khalifa University and Gulf Medical University. She has led the Arab Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes as President and serves on editorial boards for major diabetes journals. She is fluent in both English and Arabic, making her accessible to families across the UAE.
