Dr. Phillip Furstenburg

Dr. Phillip is an emergency medicine consultant with more than 15 years of clinical experience. He graduated with his MBChB from Stellenbosch University in 2006 and has since built extensive expertise in managing acutely unwell and critically ill patients. His training pathway included a Diploma in Primary Emergency Care (2013) and the FCEM postgraduate qualification (2019), which reflects his commitment to specialist-level emergency care.

He manages the full spectrum of emergency presentations, from acute medical emergencies to critical care situations requiring immediate stabilisation and intervention. His approach combines evidence-based emergency protocols with a focus on patient safety and rapid decision-making in high-pressure environments.

Dr. Phillip is an experienced educator who takes an active role in training and mentoring medical officers and junior staff, reflecting his broader commitment to raising standards across emergency services.
