Dr. Amin Tahir

Dr. Amin El Tahir is a consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon based in Abu Dhabi with extensive experience treating complex blood vessel disorders. He trained in the UK, obtaining his MD from Aberdeen University in 2003 and his FRCS (Vascular) qualification from Glasgow Royal College. He worked as a consultant vascular surgeon in Derby from 2004 before relocating to the UAE, where he has been practising since 2012 at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.

His clinical work spans the full range of vascular surgery, from minimally invasive endovascular techniques to open surgical repair. He manages varicose veins, diabetic foot ulcers and infections, kidney access for dialysis patients, stroke-prevention carotid surgery, aortic aneurysms, vascular injuries from trauma, and lymphedema (fluid buildup in limbs).
