Dr. Alaa Dekis

Dr. Alaa Dekis is a Consultant Rheumatologist who recently joined HealthPoint in Abu Dhabi. She brings over 14 years of experience in internal medicine and more than 11 years of specialized experience in rheumatology. Dr. Dekis completed her medical degree (MBBS) at Laval University in Canada in 2009, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at McGill University from 2009 to 2012. She furthered her expertise with a fellowship in Rheumatoid Arthritis at the University of Toronto in 2019.

Dr. Dekis treats a wide range of rheumatological conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, and reactive arthritis, among others. She is particularly skilled in musculoskeletal ultrasound, which she uses for early detection of inflammatory joint disease and precise diagnosis. Her approach combines thorough clinical assessment with advanced imaging to support early intervention and better patient outcomes.
