Dr. Sema Faikova

Dr Sema brings 18 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology to King's College Hospital London (Dubai). She qualified with her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria in 2001, and completed her residency at the Women and Children Hospital in Sofia—a leading government teaching institution—by 2009. Since 2017, she has practised in Dubai, initially at Belhoul Specialty Hospital and later at Emirates Hospitals Group, where she worked as a specialist.

Dr Sema offers comprehensive care across pregnancy and women's health. Her expertise spans antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for both low and high-risk pregnancies, as well as normal vaginal delivery and caesarean sections. She also provides cervical cancer screening, colposcopy, conception counselling, family planning services, and treatment for menopausal symptoms. Operatively, she performs diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy, abdominal hysterectomy, and myomectomy, and offers aesthetic gynaecological procedures.

Dr Sema is a member of the Bulgarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ISUOG (International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology), ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), and ASCCP (American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology). She has completed the first part of the MRCOG qualification. She is fluent in English, Russian, Bulgarian, and Turkish, making her accessible to a diverse patient population.
