Dr. Anjana Karunakaran

Dr. Anjana Karunakaran is a Specialist Ophthalmologist with over 5 years of experience in advanced eye care and microsurgical procedures. She holds a Fellowship from the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO) and has specialized training in cornea and refractive surgery. She practises at NMC Healthcare in Dubai.

Dr. Anjana has extensive expertise in cataract surgery by phacoemulsification, corneal reshaping procedures (LASIK and Trans PRK), corneal transplants, collagen cross-linking for corneal disease, and management of eye injuries. She is skilled with advanced diagnostic imaging tools including OCT scans, corneal topography, and pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement), which help her plan accurate treatment. She also performs injections inside and around the eye for retinal conditions and manages conditions affecting the eye surface.
