Dr. Afaf Ghanimi

Dr. Afaf Ghanimi is a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Emirates Hospital Day Surgery in Abu Dhabi, with over 25 years of clinical experience. She earned her medical degree (MBBCH) from Al Fateh University in Tripoli, Libya, and went on to obtain her MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in the UK (2000). She also completed specialist training through the Arab Board in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, with advanced certifications in urodynamics and gynaecologic laparoscopic surgery. Throughout her career, she has worked at leading institutions including Tawam Hospital and HealthPlus.

Dr. Ghanimi's clinical expertise covers a broad range of women's health issues: fertility problems and PCOS management, normal and high-risk pregnancies, adolescent gynaecology, menopausal health, and bladder and pelvic-floor problems. She is skilled in minimally invasive keyhole procedures including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and colposcopy, as well as vaginal repair, cosmetic gynaecological surgery, caesarean sections and delivery management. She offers prenatal and postnatal counselling, family planning advice, and hormone replacement therapy for menopausal women.
