Dr. Athira Babu

Dr Athira Babu is a paediatrician with over 15 years of medical experience across India and the UAE, including more than nine years working at JCI-accredited hospitals in the Emirates. She joined Mediclinic City Hospital in January 2024, where she works in the Paediatric Emergency and Inpatient Department, combining emergency medicine skills with specialist paediatric training.

Dr Athira specialises in caring for children across a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, from emergency presentations to ongoing inpatient management. She has completed postgraduate training in paediatric endocrinology and paediatric nutrition, and holds both the MRCPCH (Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health) and European Board of Paediatrics qualifications. She is actively involved in medical research and training, with several published papers in paediatrics to her name.

Her approach centres on listening carefully to parents' concerns while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of care. She is committed to supporting children's overall wellbeing and helping families navigate complex health challenges with clarity and compassion.
