Dr. Anoshia Fahad

Dr. Anoshia Fahad is an Associate Staff Physician in the Gastroenterology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Digestive Disease Institute. She trained in Pakistan, earning her medical degree from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences and completing her internal medicine and gastroenterology residency at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center in Karachi. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, she worked for four years as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Dr. Ruth K M Pfau Civil Hospital, one of Pakistan's busiest tertiary care hospitals.

Dr. Fahad has extensive experience managing gastrointestinal emergencies including upper and lower bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease flares, and viral hepatitis. She performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures — upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and combined examination of the small bowel — with a strong safety record. She specializes in advanced techniques including biopsies, injection and sclerotherapy (injecting medications to stop bleeding), variceal band ligation (tying off enlarged veins in the esophagus), hemoclip application, polyp removal, and feeding tube insertion.

Dr. Fahad has a research interest in H. pylori infection, acid reflux disease, and liver disorders, and has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and presented at national and international conferences. She is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, and a member of the American College of Gastroenterology.
