Dr. Shadi Najem

Dr. Shadi Najem is a general surgeon at Medcare Medical Centre with nearly two decades of surgical experience across multiple specialties. He trained at the Crimea Medical University in Simferopol, Ukraine, earning both his medical degree and a Master's in General Surgery, and holds Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). His career has included roles at Al Qasimi Hospital, Canadian Specialty Hospital, Medcare Hospital Al Safa, Emirates Hospital Jumeirah, Cosmesurge Plastic Surgery Hospital, and NMC Specialty Hospital Al Nahda, where he served as Assistant Medical Director.

Dr. Najem specializes in both laparoscopic (keyhole) and open surgical procedures. He performs a wide range of operations including thyroid and gland surgery, breast procedures from screening to mastectomy, abdominal surgery including gallbladder removal and bowel resection, hernia repairs of all types, haemorrhoid and anal surgery using both traditional and laser techniques, and skin and soft-tissue removal.
