Dr. Barjis Sulthana

Dr. Barjis Sulthana is a psychiatrist based in Al Nahda, Dubai, with 10 years of clinical experience in mental health care. She completed her medical degree (MBBS) at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute in Puducherry, India, and her postgraduate qualification (MD) in psychiatry at Dr. Somerwell Memorial CSI Medical College and Hospital in Trivandrum, Kerala. After completing her training, she worked as a clinical psychiatrist and educator at a private medical college in Calicut, Kerala, before joining NMC Healthcare.

Dr. Barjis treats a wide range of mental health conditions, from common disorders such as depression and anxiety to more complex conditions including bipolar disorder, psychotic illnesses, perinatal psychiatry (mental health during pregnancy and after childbirth), post-traumatic stress disorder, and somatization disorders.
