Dr. Marlain Mubarak

Dr Marlain Mubarak is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at King's College Hospital London (Dubai), where she leads the Endometriosis Centre. She completed her postgraduate training at Oxford Deanery in the UK, obtaining specialized accreditation in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery in 2004, and was awarded her Consultant Credentials (CCT) in 2005. She has been practising in Dubai since 2018, bringing over 15 years of experience in gynaecological surgery and women's health.

Dr Mubarak's clinical focus spans a broad range of gynaecological conditions, from heavy periods and ovarian cysts to infertility and early-stage gynaecological cancer. She is particularly renowned for her expertise in endometriosis, especially complex stage 4 cases requiring advanced keyhole surgery. Her additional training includes a Master's degree in Experimental Therapeutics from Oxford University (2016), where her research focused on developing diagnostic methods for severe endometriosis. She also holds a diploma in psychosexual counselling and is a member of the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine, allowing her to address the broader health needs of women with gynaecological conditions.

Dr Mubarak is committed to patient education and support; she established the first patient endometriosis support group in the UAE. She is a strong advocate for evidence-based medicine, having presented her research at numerous national and international conferences. Her approach combines surgical expertise with comprehensive counselling and management, making her well-suited for patients seeking specialist care in complex endometriosis, fertility issues, or minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
