Dr. Shalini Shanmugam

Dr. Shalini Shanmugam is a Specialist Anesthesiologist with over 8 years of experience in anesthesia, intensive care, and critical care across the UAE and India. She trained at Rajiv Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute in India, where she completed her MD in Anaesthesiology, and holds a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery from Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences. She has worked in prominent hospitals as both a clinical specialist and an academic educator.

Dr. Shanmugam specializes in regional anesthesia techniques, including epidural anesthesia, spinal (sub-arachnoid) blockade, caudal anesthesia, and labor pain relief. She is experienced in placing central venous catheters and managing patients in intensive care settings. Her clinical interests span perioperative care, pain management during childbirth, and the safe anesthesia of patients with complex medical conditions such as those with pacemakers.
