Dr. Albert Anand

Dr. Albert Anand, MPT, is Team Lead in the Department of Physiotherapy at Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He holds a Master's degree in Physiotherapy with an orthopaedic specialisation from Dr. MGR Medical University in Chennai, India, and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK as well as with regulatory bodies in Abu Dhabi and India. Before joining Mediclinic, he worked as a professor of physiotherapy at leading universities in India, where he contributed to research and clinical education.

Dr. Anand's clinical focus is on evidence-based musculoskeletal rehabilitation and recovery. He treats post-operative patients, manages repetitive strain injuries (such as those from computer work or manual tasks), and uses advanced techniques including manual therapy (Mulligan and Maitland concepts), kinesio taping, gait analysis, and foot posture assessment. He also advises on workplace ergonomics to prevent injury. He holds additional qualifications in Human Resources management, Lean Six Sigma quality improvement, yoga, and fitness—skills he applies to holistic patient recovery.

Dr. Anand is fluent in English, Tamil, Malayalam, and Arabic. He is actively involved in evidence-based research and attends international clinical workshops.
