Dr. Damia Al Heeti

Dr. Damia Al Heeti is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. She trained in Iraq, where she earned her medical degree from Baghdad University, and later completed specialist training in Norway, becoming a broadly certified doctor from the Norwegian health system. She spent her early career working in Baghdad for 5 years before relocating to Norway, where she served as head of the maternity ward for more than a decade.

Dr. Al Heeti offers comprehensive care across obstetrics and gynaecology. She manages all stages of pregnancy, from planning and monitoring through labour and delivery. She also treats fertility problems and provides contraception counselling, manages menstrual disorders and bleeding problems, and addresses urinary incontinence and vulval conditions. Her procedural skills include both keyhole surgery (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures), vaginal surgery, and open surgical techniques.

She works at American Hospital Dubai and brings a wealth of international training and experience. Her fluency in Arabic, English, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish means she can communicate easily with a diverse patient population.
