Dr. Rafik Banoub

Dr. Rafik Banoub is an Associate Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He trained in Egypt, completing his medical degree and residency at Ain Shams University in Cairo, and has spent over two decades developing expertise in anesthesia and critical care across Egypt, France, and the UAE.

Dr. Banoub specializes in perioperative anesthesia management—the care before, during, and after surgery. He has particular experience with anesthesia for laparoscopic (keyhole) surgeries, epidural pain relief, urological procedures, and ear, nose and throat surgery. He also manages acute post-operative pain and provides neuroanaesthesia (anesthesia for neurosurgical cases). Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in training medical students and residents, serving as faculty at Ain Shams University and as a tutor for critical care residency programs under the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
