Dr. Dalia Elshourbagy

Dr. Dalia Elshourbagy is a consultant medical oncologist in the internal medicine department at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with 25 years of clinical experience. She holds a Ph.D. and master's degree alongside her medical qualification, and brings a dual expertise in both medical oncology and radiation oncology. Since 2009, she has been a core member of the Oncology Department at Dubai Health Authority, where she has helped shape modern cancer care in the region.

Dr. Elshourbagy specialises in diagnosing and treating solid tumours in adults, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and radiation planning. She provides palliative (comfort-focused) care for cancer patients, manages symptoms and side effects of treatment, and offers genetic counselling for families at risk of hereditary cancer. She also enrolls suitable patients into clinical trials to access newer treatments and contribute to medical research.

Her commitment to advancing oncology is evident through her active membership in leading international organisations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the Emirates Oncology Society. In 2019, she received the ESMO Women for Oncology Award, recognising her contributions to the field.
