Dr. Maher Bader

Dr. Maher Bader is a specialist ophthalmologist with over 26 years of clinical experience treating a wide range of eye conditions. He trained in Syria at esteemed eye hospitals and centres, and holds an MD with a Syrian board qualification in ophthalmology plus ICO (International Council of Ophthalmology) basic and clinical certificates from the UK. He has also completed specialized phaco emulsification training in Nagpur, India, and a masterclass in refractive surgery.

Dr. Bader specializes in cataract surgery using phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation, refractive procedures (LASIK, PRK, corneal crosslinking), and pterygium removal. He also manages anterior segment emergencies, conjunctival and corneal diseases, glaucoma, and uveitis medically. He performs intravitreal injections for diabetes-related eye disease, retinal vein occlusion, and age-related macular degeneration. His expertise extends to treating children, including lacrimal probing and tear-duct procedures.

He previously worked at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Bader is fluent in Arabic and English, and combines surgical and medical management approaches to tailor care to each patient's needs.
