Dr. Sanjeev Bassi

Dr Sanjeev Bassi is a Consultant Adult and Paediatric Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon at King's College Hospital London with over 32 years of experience. He trained extensively across the UK and internationally, including fellowships at the Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris and Montefiore Medical Centre in New York. Since 2003, he has served as a consultant at King's College Hospital London and Evelina London Children's Hospital, establishing himself as the most senior paediatric neurosurgeon at King's College Hospital.

Dr Bassi treats a comprehensive range of brain and spine conditions in both children and adults. He manages sciatica, back and neck pain, spinal tumors, brain tumors (including gliomas and meningiomas), brain hemorrhage, hydrocephalus, Chiari malformation, and cerebral palsy. He performs advanced procedures such as keyhole endoscopic surgery, spinal decompression, disc replacement, and baclofen pump insertion for muscle stiffness. Over his career, he has completed more than 5,000 complex operations. He also provides antenatal counseling for parents whose babies are diagnosed with brain or spinal problems before birth.

Dr Bassi is particularly known for his expertise in neuroendoscopy (keyhole brain surgery) and lectures internationally on endoscopic treatment of complex tumors. He leads a course on hydrocephalus and endoscopy at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and serves as a senior examiner for surgical qualifications. He is Medical Director of the London Neurosurgery Partnership on Harley Street.
