Dr. Bilal Mohamad El Yafawi

Dr. Bilal Mohamad El Yafawi is an orthopaedic and trauma surgeon with over two decades of international experience across Europe and the Middle East. He previously led the Trauma & Orthopaedic Department at Rashid Hospital in Dubai and trained in Germany as a specialist in orthopaedic and trauma surgery. He is recognized for his expertise in surgical innovation, trauma care delivery, and medical education.

Dr. El Yafawi specializes in comprehensive trauma management, including complex cases involving the pelvis, spine, and limbs. He performs joint replacement surgery (hip, knee, shoulder) using computer-assisted navigation and robotic-assisted techniques, along with joint-preserving surgeries and arthroscopic procedures. He also manages post-traumatic deformities, nonunions, infections, and sports-related injuries including ligament repair and meniscus-conserving surgery. He performs minimally invasive hip surgery and spinal procedures including kyphoplasty.

As founder and chairman of the International Trauma Congress and a faculty member of the AO Foundation, Dr. El Yafawi is actively involved in advancing orthopaedic education globally.
