Dr. Ahmed Kamal Ahmed is a Consultant in Gastrointestinal Surgery at Medcare Dr. Saeed Al Shaikh Gastro & Obesity Centre. He trained at the University of Oslo in Norway, where he earned his medical degree and board certification in gastrointestinal surgery, followed by a Master's in Surgical Endoscopy from the University of Strasbourg in France. He also holds ECFMG certification from the USA. With 12 years of experience across Norway, France, and the UAE, he has built a career managing the full spectrum of digestive conditions using advanced keyhole and endoscopic techniques.

Dr. Ahmed specializes in treating stomach and colon cancers, reflux disease, obesity-related conditions, hernias, gallbladder disease, haemorrhoids, anal fissures, and anal fistulas. He is particularly skilled in endoscopic weight-loss procedures, including transoral outlet reduction for patients who have regained weight after gastric bypass surgery.
