Dr. Ahsen Nazir

Dr. Ahsen Nazir is a consultant pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with 9 years of consultant-level experience in respiratory and sleep medicine. He trained extensively in the UK through the Mersey Deanery and worked at teaching hospitals in England before moving to the UAE, where he has practised at both Mafraq Hospital and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. He is an active faculty member for the internal medicine residency programme and sits on the Respirology Scientific Committee at the National Institute for Health Specialties, UAE.

Dr. Nazir specializes in severe asthma, sleep-disordered breathing (including obstructive sleep apnoea), and advanced bronchoscopic techniques such as endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) — a minimally invasive procedure to examine and biopsy lung tissue.
