Dr. Huda Al Dhaheri

Dr. Huda Al Dhaheri is a consultant ophthalmologist and chair of the ophthalmology division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. With 17 years of clinical experience, she brings deep expertise in corneal conditions, cataract surgery, and refractive procedures. She completed her medical degree and pursued formal residency training through King Saud University and the Saudi Board of Ophthalmology, followed by advanced subspecialty training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh.

Dr. Al Dhaheri holds the prestigious FRCS (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons) qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, as well as fellowship credentials from the International Council of Ophthalmology. Her career achievements include establishing a cornea service at SEHA facilities in Al Ain and pioneering the introduction of implantable collamer lenses—a specialized lens implant procedure—at Tawam Hospital, where she previously served as division chief of ophthalmology.

She is an active member of major international ophthalmology societies and brings a patient-centered approach to complex eye conditions, combining advanced surgical techniques with a focus on visual outcomes and patient comfort.
