Dr. Karen Swanepoel

Karen is a physiotherapist with nearly 20 years of private practice experience across multiple clinical areas. She qualified with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of the Free State in South Africa in 2002, followed by specialized training in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (2005) and Women's Health (2011). She has been an educator, delivering accredited courses on pregnancy, pelvic pain, and post-partum rehabilitation to other healthcare professionals.

Her practice focuses on pelvic health conditions including incontinence and pelvic pain, pregnancy wellness and post-partum recovery, and musculoskeletal problems such as neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, and headaches. She uses techniques including dry needling and manual therapy to support recovery and rehabilitation across orthopedic, neurological, and gynecological conditions.

Karen is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board, and has been part of the South African My Sexual Health team since 2011.
