Dr. Rahul Chopra

Dr. Rahul Chopra is an experienced anesthesiologist and intensivist with over 15 years of clinical practice across public and private hospitals in India and the UAE. He completed his medical degree (M.D) from the Institute of Medical Sciences at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, India, and specialist anesthesia training from the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh. Before joining Zulekha Hospital in Dubai, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Max Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi, a JCI-accredited facility.

Dr. Chopra's clinical expertise spans pre-anesthesia assessments for routine and emergency surgeries, pain management including labor pain relief, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, and care for critically ill patients of all ages. He is skilled in administering anesthesia in operating theaters and remote locations, managing recovery areas, and delivering palliative care. His special interests include anesthesia for robotic surgery, cancer-related anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, and ultrasound-guided nerve blocks.

Beyond clinical work, Dr. Chopra has taught anesthesia and emergency medicine at leading institutions including the University of Otago in New Zealand and major hospitals in India.
