Dr. Kayane Mheidly

Dr. Kayane Mheidly is a Consultant Haematologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with over eight years of clinical experience in blood and bone marrow diseases. She holds an M.D. from Rennes 1 University and a specialised degree in clinical haematology (D.E.S), along with advanced training in palliative care, thrombosis, and haemostasis from leading French institutions. Licensed to practise in both the UAE and France, she combines rigorous academic training with hands-on patient care.

Dr. Mheidly's clinical expertise spans malignant haematology (blood cancers), bone marrow transplantation, blood clotting disorders, and the management of blood-related infections. She previously led the bone marrow transplantation programme at Burjeel Medical City and chaired the Infectious Disease Committee at Clemenceau Medical Center, demonstrating her depth of knowledge across complex haematological conditions. Her work integrates palliative care principles to support patients through challenging treatments.

Currently serving as Quality and Patient Safety Chair for the Haematology Division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, Dr. Mheidly is dedicated to improving patient experience and clinical outcomes.
