Dr. Rana AlKhoury

Rana AlKhoury is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Reem Hospital in Abu Dhabi with over 8 years of clinical experience. She holds a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from St. Joseph University in Beirut and a master's degree in Psychosomatic Support from Lebanese University. She works with both children and adults, bringing evidence-based care and a patient-centred approach to her practice.

Dr. AlKhoury assesses and treats a wide range of communication and swallowing challenges, from language delays and stuttering to voice disorders and neurological conditions. She specialises in dysphagia management—difficulty swallowing—and is skilled in Video Fluoroscopic Swallowing Studies (VFSS), a detailed imaging technique that allows precise diagnosis of swallowing problems. She also manages aphasia (language loss after stroke or injury), cognitive-communication disorders, hearing-related communication issues, and neurological speech disorders.

She works closely with patients and families to develop personalised treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Fluent in English, Arabic, and French, she is committed to ongoing professional development and helping patients improve their communication and quality of life.
