Dr. Luis Gavin

Dr Luis Gavin is a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Emirates Hospital Jumeirah, part of Emirates Hospitals Group in Dubai. With over 30 years of clinical experience, he is widely recognized for his expertise in complex jaw, oral, and facial procedures. He trained in Spain, earning his medical and dental degrees along with a PhD in Medicine and Surgery from Autonoma and Complutense University of Madrid, and has since practiced in leading hospitals across Spain and the UAE.

Dr Gavin's practice focuses on temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, sleep-related breathing issues, and advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery. His key areas include TMJ arthroscopy and arthrocentesis, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, genioplasty (chin contouring), dental implantology, and management of tinnitus and sleep apnea. He also treats complex oral pathology, wisdom tooth extraction, facial trauma, and performs specialized care for patients with physical and intellectual disabilities.

Beyond clinical work, Dr Gavin has contributed as a lecturer and speaker at universities and medical institutions, sharing knowledge with future generations of surgeons. He is fluent in English and Spanish, enabling him to serve a diverse patient population. He is among the few specialists in the GCC region able to perform TMJ arthroscopy.
