Dr. Fathelrahman Elhag Edris Mohammed is a Consultant General and Bariatric Surgeon at Zulekha Hospital in Dubai with over 30 years of surgical experience. He is internationally recognised for expertise in weight-loss surgery and advanced minimally invasive techniques. Previously a Senior Consultant at Al Qassimi Hospital—one of the UAE's busiest surgical centres—for 15 years, he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Sharjah, training resident doctors and medical students.

Dr. Fathelrahman specialises in obesity and metabolic surgery (including primary, revision, and complication management of keyhole weight-loss procedures), hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction, and keyhole surgery on solid organs such as the spleen and adrenals. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic laparoscopy for emergency abdominal conditions (perforated ulcers, obstructions, infected gallbladders, complicated appendicitis) and manages thyroid and neck surgery, including thyroglossal cyst removal. He combines advanced laparoscopic training from international experts with proficiency in conventional open surgery and minor interventions.
