Dr. Maryam Mojtabavi

Dr. Maryam Mojtabavi is a board-certified Infectious Diseases Specialist at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital in Dubai with over 20 years of clinical experience. She earned her MD from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran and completed her residency in Infectious Diseases there, then held positions across leading hospitals and trauma centres in Iran before relocating to the UAE. She holds a Certification in Precision Medicine from the University of Geneva.

Dr. Mojtabavi diagnoses and treats complex infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites—including pneumonia, tuberculosis, blood infections, sepsis, HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, bone and joint infections, and hospital-acquired infections. She specialises in treating difficult-to-diagnose conditions and infections that resist standard treatment. Her expertise extends to travel and tropical medicine, COVID-19 and long COVID, infections in cancer patients and immunocompromised individuals, and diabetic foot infections. She has managed post-surgical infectious complications and contributed to hospital infection control committees.
