Dr. Helena Mahmoud Khidr

Dr. Helena Khidr is a Specialist Endodontist practising at Burjeel Abu Dhabi with three years of clinical experience. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sharjah, followed by specialist training including a Professional Diploma in Endodontics from the British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry in Dubai and a Master of Science in Endodontics from Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences completed in 2025. During her residency at Dubai Dental Hospital and governmental healthcare facilities, she developed expertise in managing complex endodontic cases using contemporary, evidence-based approaches.

Dr. Khidr specializes in non-surgical and surgical root canal treatment, as well as root canal retreatment for cases that need re-intervention. She also provides vital pulp therapy (including direct and indirect pulp capping and pulpotomy procedures) and regenerative endodontic techniques. She is experienced in apexification and managing iatrogenic errors such as perforation repair. Her clinical work is informed by active research participation; she has presented findings on how repetitive sterilisation affects endodontic instrument performance at international conferences including the ESE Congress in Paris.
