Dr. Luis C. Herrera Robles

Dr. Luis Robles is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Assistant Professor at Cleveland Clinic Learner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He trained in Panama and Canada, earning his MD from the Faculty of Medicine University of Panama in 1986. He completed a five-year Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto and a fellowship in Emergency Medicine Clinical Cardiology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where he was instrumental in developing the Emergency Chest Pain Unit. With 32 years of experience, Dr. Robles brings expertise from senior consultant roles at major Canadian trauma centres and academic positions at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Robles specializes in managing acute cardiac emergencies, severe trauma, critical care cases, and toxicology (poisoning and overdose) situations. He is highly skilled in emergency ultrasound and critical care patient transfers between hospitals. He has conducted clinical research as a Qualified Principal Investigator in oncology, psychotropic medications, and vaccine development. Dr. Robles is recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as an examiner for emergency medicine certification and is an active educator and international speaker.
