Dr. Rizwan Shah

Dr. Rizwan Shah is a specialist neurosurgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with 15 years of clinical experience. He holds an M.B.B.S. degree, F.C.P.S. qualification from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, and F.R.C.S. in neurosurgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. His training spans Pakistan, the UK, and the UAE, including a fellowship in paediatric neurosurgery at Children's Hospital, University Hospital Bristol.

Dr. Shah specialises in brain and spinal tumours, hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain), subarachnoid haemorrhage (bleeding around the brain), treatment of neck and back pain, and disc disease. He also performs minimally invasive spine surgery and pain procedures. His clinical focus includes head injury management, Chiari malformations (where brain tissue extends into the spinal canal), degenerative spine diseases, and traumatic spine injuries.

He has presented research at national and international conferences and maintains several peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Shah holds specialist registration with the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Health UAE, and the Dubai Health Authority, along with registration with the General Medical Council Pakistan and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
