Dr. Kara Alsarraj

Dr. Kara Alsarraj is a neurologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in neurology, beginning in 2004 after graduating from medical school in Erbil, Iraq in 2002. She completed specialist training through the Iraqi Board of Specialities in Neurology and holds German board certification in the specialty. From 2018 to 2022, she worked in several prestigious hospitals throughout Germany, gaining extensive experience in complex neurological conditions.

Since 2022, Dr. Alsarraj has been practicing in the UAE, providing clinical care and contributing to medical education at Sharjah University Hospital and Sharjah University. Her clinical expertise spans stroke management, headache disorders, movement disorders (including conditions like Parkinson's disease), geriatric neurology for older patients, and epilepsy. She brings a multicultural perspective to patient care, fluent in Arabic, English, German, Kurdish, and Turkish.
