Dr. Ahmed Hammouda

Dr. Ahmed Hammouda is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Al-Azhar University Hospitals with 15 years of clinical experience. Since March 2023, he has directed the Limb Lengthening, Deformity Correction, and Reconstruction Unit, serving both adults and children. His training spans leading international centers: he completed a fellowship at the International Center for Limb Lengthening in Baltimore (2014–2016), trained at the Vreden Russian Research Institute in St. Petersburg, and participated in multiple traveling fellowships with world-recognized experts including Dr. Dror Paley and Prof. Mehmet Kocaoglu.

Dr. Hammouda treats complex limb conditions including limb length discrepancy, congenital deformities, bone infections, fracture complications, and skeletal dysplasias. He is experienced in external fixation, telescopic nails, computer-assisted deformity frames, and magnetic intramedullary lengthening devices. He has also managed orthopedic trauma and specialized conditions such as osteogenesis imperfecta, Blount disease, and post-polio deformities in both pediatric and adult patients.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Hammouda leads the Medical Committee for Faculty Members at Al-Azhar University (since 2019), overseeing care for over 20,000 faculty.
