Dr. Zulfiya Mamaeva

Dr. Zulfiya Mamaeva is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 22 years of clinical experience across Russia and Ireland. She trained at Dagestan State Medical Academy in Russia, followed by specialist training and a PhD at the Scientific Centre of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Perinatology under the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow. She moved to Ireland in 2003, where she completed her membership and fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and earned diplomas in Women's Health and Obstetric & Gynaecological Ultrasound from University College Dublin. She has worked across Ireland's three main maternity hospitals—The Rotunda, National Maternity, and Coombe Women & Infants University Hospital—as well as St. James's Hospital.

Dr. Mamaeva has performed thousands of deliveries and managed thousands of complex cases. Her expertise spans high-risk pregnancies (including diabetic and hypertensive pregnancies, and vaginal birth after caesarean section), advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, and pelvic floor repair. She holds fellowships in Cosmally Invasive Surgery and Cosmetic Gynaecology from the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons, and has led innovations in ambulatory hysteroscopic services.

She holds an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer position with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and has served as Lead of Ambulatory Gynaecology Services and Lead for Diabetic Antenatal Care at MRHM. Her approach emphasises evidence-based, patient-centred care tailored to individual needs.
