Dr. Safina Khan

Safina Khan is a podiatrist with over 18 years of specialized experience in foot and ankle care. She trained at Glasgow Caledonian University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Podiatry with Honors in 2005, followed by a Master of Science in Theory of Podiatric Surgery in 2019. She has worked across leading healthcare facilities in the UAE, including NMC Royal Hospital's Diabetes team in Sharjah and the Canadian Medical Centre in Abu Dhabi, before joining HealthPoint.

Safina's practice focuses primarily on diabetic foot care and management, with particular emphasis on limb salvage and amputation prevention. She treats a comprehensive range of conditions including corns and calluses, warts, heel pain, arch pain, flat feet, fungal nail infections, and ingrown toenails. Her treatment toolkit includes wound care, gait analysis (assessment of how you walk), shockwave therapy, strapping therapy, custom orthotics (shoe inserts), and specialized care for children's foot problems.

Beyond her clinical work, Safina actively participates in the UAE-wide Working Group for Diabetic Foot Disease Management and Prevention, and volunteers with Special Olympics UAE. She is committed to educating patients to help them maintain mobility and quality of life while managing foot health.
