Dr. Mohammed Istarabadi

Dr. Mohammed Istarabadi is a Consultant Urology Surgeon at Al Zahra Hospital in Dubai, certified by the American Board of Urology. He trained in medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, completed general surgery and cardiothoracic training in Dublin, then specialized in urological surgery in Albany, New York before returning to the UAE in 1999. He holds fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and is a recognized expert in his field across the Gulf region.

Dr. Istarabadi specializes in a broad range of urological conditions and has pioneered laser lithotripsy (laser kidney-stone removal) in the UAE and Gulf, having performed over 2,500 such operations. His scope of practice includes minimally invasive laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures, laser urology, female urology, and cancer-focused uro-oncology cases. He performs major operations including radical prostatectomy (prostate removal for cancer), nephrectomy (kidney removal), and adrenalectomy (adrenal gland removal).

Dr. Istarabadi is active in medical education across the UAE, regularly speaking at physician-education programs on urological disease management. He serves on executive and administrative boards at Al Zahra Hospital and brings nearly two and a half decades of experience to patient care.
