Dr. Sally Omer El Goni Abaker

Dr. Sally El Goni is a general surgeon with 19 years of clinical experience, including over 11 years specializing in general surgery. She trained at the Sudan Medical Specialization Board and worked in gastrointestinal and endoscopy surgery before pursuing further qualifications. In 2010, she travelled to Edinburgh to obtain the MRCS (Member of the Royal College of Surgeons) qualification, recognizing her surgical competence internationally. She has since completed additional training in laparoscopic techniques and bariatric surgery, most recently finishing a fellowship in bariatric surgery in 2023.

Dr. El Goni performs a wide range of general surgical procedures, from routine operations like gallbladder removal and appendix removal to more complex cases including hernia repairs, colorectal surgery, thyroid surgery, and bariatric (weight-loss) procedures. She is experienced in both open and keyhole (laparoscopic) surgical approaches, which minimize recovery time. She joined Royal NMC Mohammed Bin Zayed Hospital in 2021 after working in UAE Ministry of Health facilities.
