Dr. Semhar Salina Berhane is a Swedish Board-Certified Consultant Breast Radiologist educated at the Karolinska Institute, one of the world's highest-ranked medical universities. She trained at Karolinska University Hospital and Södersjukhuset's Breast Centre in Stockholm, Europe's largest dedicated breast unit. Before joining American Hospital Dubai, she held significant leadership roles in Sweden, including National Medical Director for Breast Radiology at Unilabs, where she oversaw seven breast centres and led nationwide work in imaging protocol standardization and quality improvement.
Dr. Berhane's clinical expertise spans the full range of modern breast imaging: diagnostic mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis (3D imaging), contrast-enhanced mammography, ultrasound, and breast MRI.
