Dr. Mariam Adel Labib Younan

Dr. Mariam Adel Labib Younan is a Consultant in Clinical Pathology with over 25 years of experience in laboratory medicine. She has held leadership roles at Zulekha Hospital in Dubai and Sharjah as Lab Head and Clinical Pathologist, and previously worked as a Lab Director and Chief Pathologist at Eurofin Biomnis Middle East Reference Laboratory. She also served as Associate Professor of Clinical and Chemical Pathology at Cairo University's Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Mariam oversees testing across a broad range of laboratory disciplines, including blood work (hematology), blood bank services, biochemistry, immunology, infection testing (serology and microbiology), and molecular biology. In her leadership roles, she ensures quality service delivery, implements policies for efficiency, supports medical education and research, and actively participates in hospital quality and safety committees. She has also served as Medical Director of Cellsave Arabia, an AABB-accredited stem cell bank.

Her contributions to laboratory medicine and healthcare quality have been recognized with the Univants of Healthcare Excellence 2021 Achievement Certificate. Dr. Mariam is a Team Leader for College of American Pathologists Laboratory Inspections in the region, and her research has been presented at international conferences. She is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
