Dr. Beena Hameed

Dr. Beena Hameed is a Rheumatology Consultant and Internist with nearly three decades of experience in Internal Medicine and over two decades in Rheumatology. She trained at leading London hospitals including King's College Hospital, St. George's Hospital, and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, and holds accreditation from the Joint Royal Colleges Training Board (JRCPTB), United Kingdom. Her career spans Pakistan, the UK, and the UAE, enabling her to deliver culturally sensitive care to diverse patient populations.

Dr. Hameed specializes in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory and autoimmune rheumatic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, and osteoporosis. She is skilled in musculoskeletal ultrasound, joint and soft-tissue injections, and the evidence-based use of biologic and targeted synthetic therapies. She interprets complex immunological tests (ANA, ENA, anti-CCP, ANCA) and radiological imaging to guide individualized treatment plans focused on achieving remission and managing comorbidities.

Dr. Hameed is an Associate Professor of Rheumatology at Gulf Medical University and has served as a Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. She is a board member of GCC Air and has chaired the Middle East Rheumatology Conference multiple times. Her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed international journals, and she is a regular invited speaker at major rheumatology conferences worldwide.
